Fragments and Knots, 2021, Sculpture, 16 x 12 x 6 inches
The sculpture negotiates the social and personal context of dimensionality and objectivity. It is my response to the systematic impulsion on mutually dependent relationships and overlapping inhabitation. In the centre of the heat and pressure, the links between the fragmented bodies melt and form strong knots. These knots harden and form tongs that hold the body in hostages. The body was captivated by the grid that expanded into an unbreakable structure over time.
