Proximity

The collage series started in 2020. I was out of my social life during the government order of quarantine. There is a high sense of boredom in repetitive mundane activities. I find it therapeutic to burn all kinds of materials around my house. Without realizing it, I grabbed a metal mesh from the kitchen and placed it on a lit candle. I accidentally discovered how to make a colourful circular shape burn mark. I became increasingly curious about what kind of pattern I could make by applying the heat to various surfaces.
